Franchise Part 5 - Making the Most of your Franchise

Once your legal and financial requirements are finalised and you have a system in place to which your franchise can work accordingly, things will run smoothly.

Our advice to you: enjoy and make the most of your franchise. Enjoy all the benefits of owning your own franchise. Do not rush to succeed as quickly as possible and work frantically day and night only to suffer a burn out. Be sure to take care of your health and balance work time with family time. If you are finding that you need to spend more time at home, then execute managerial positions in your franchise and employ qualified people for such a position to be in control when you are not there.

With regards to your franchise, make sure that you are able to answer this question each day: ‘why am I doing this?’ If you are unable to answer this question, you will not be content in your franchise business and will not find a balance between work and family time. Once you do have the ‘why’, it is very important that you specify your priorities and boundaries and adhere to them. Involve your family and friends in some franchise decisions and activities e.g. decorating, painting, and waitressing.

Remain loyal to your employees and they will remain loyal to you. Treat them just as you yourself would like to be treated.
